Victoria King and all her staff would like to welcome you to The Lodge restaurant and bar in North Tuddenham, near Dereham, Norfolk. During the summer of 2007 we completely refurbished this 19th century Public House to bring in an eclectic mix of old and new. Following the reopening on Friday 3rd August we have quickly earned a reputation as one of the premier eateries in the region. Where possible our produce is sourced locally, guaranteeing the quality & freshness of the ingredients of the food which is prepared by our head chef, and his enthusiastic team to creat an outstanding, memorable meal every time. The TeamVikki King (myself) Having qualified from Norwich City College with a Btec National Diploma in Hotel, Catering and institutional operation in 1992 I moved to West Sussex. My first role was as a supervisor within Gatwick airport at a Danish Coffee bar after a few months I commenced working for a contract catering company, again as a food & beverage supervisor. Within the first two years I was promoted 3 times, first to Assistant Manager and then to contracts manager of the compnaies flagship Southern site FDRL in Basildon. This made me the companies youngest ever Manager with various accolades in the catering press. Following marriage and 2 children I moved back to my Norfolk roots where I have continued to work within the hospitality industry in various areas such as accounts, conferencing, functions and wedding planning. Finally last Summer I decided to take the plunge & start my own business - which brings us to today and "The Lodge Restaurant & Bar"
Shane Morley - Head Chef Shane joined the Lodge in it's infancy and has rapidly built on the existing stregnths of the Lodge. At only 13 years old Shane began his interest within catering and began working in the industry part time whilst still at school. On leaving school Shane continued his career as a chef and has worked at some of the regions popular pubs and restaurants, including The River Garden, The Maids Head Hotel and The Library Brasserie & Grill in Norwich and not forgetting his 7 month stint, working in Sydney , Australia.
Jason Pullen - Sous Chef Jason has an advanced diploma in Hospitality & Catering Management which he obtained at West Norfolk College. On leaving college Jason commenced his career working as a manager at the Kings Head Hotel, then furthering his career in cooking he became a chef at The George Hotel and then the Swan at Gressenhall. Jason achieved many certifications during this period and went on to own his own Public house, but has now returned to his love of cooking
Mikey Mann - Commis Chef Mikey is in his 3rd year at City College now completing his advanced craft and will be joining us on a fulltime basis as of May. Mikey has gained previous experience working at The Honningham Buck & the Parson Woodforde. Together they are a formidable team and we are looking forward to a long working relationship.
